Financial Aid Financial Aid is available for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Aid is based on need, evidenced by submitting a parent’s financial statement and a copy of the Federal Tax Form 1040 to School and Student Services (SSS). Families interested in applying for financial aid should request a financial aid packet which are available in the Admission Office.
Location and Facilities School facilities are located on the beautiful campus of First Presbyterian Church, which resides across the street from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas at the corner of Bissonnet and Main Street. Early Childhood/ Lower School have their own art room, assembly room, computer lab, developmental play areas, gymnasium, resource/enrichment rooms, library, music room, science lab and Spanish room. Middle School has its own art studio, assembly room, computer lab, gymnasium, library, music room, two science labs and Spanish room. In addition, the Lower School and Middle School share a 2 traveling wireless computer labs. All students also have access to the Outdoor Education Campus, a 14 acre campus complete with a Pavilion/Outdoor Education Area, two regulation fields, an 8 lane regulation track, a nature and cross country trail, a nature garden area and an outdoor chapel.
Faculty All students have access to a counselor, developmental specialist and nurse. In addition to the classroom lead and assistant teachers, the school maintains specialist teachers specific for each division in the areas of Art, Chapel, Computer, Library, Motor Skills/Physical Education, Music, Science and Spanish. School Day Alpha Class (3 day) : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday OR Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15 a.m.-noon Beta Class (5 day): 8:15 a.m.-noon Prekindergarten Half Day: Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m. - noon Prekindergarten Full Day: Monday-Thursday, 8:15 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:15 a.m. - noon Kindergarten through 4th grade: 8:15 a.m.-3:15 p.m. 5th through 8th grade: 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
The following extended school hours are only available to Lower and Middle School students. Early Care beginning at 7:15 am is offered free of charge. Panther Time: After School Care is offered for an additional fee Monday-Friday until 6:00 p.m. Panther Time: After School Clubs are offered for an additional fee.
