Q & A with ANN

What are your top five CliftonStrengths, and which ONE do you find yourself leaning into the most these days?
Responsibility, Harmony, Achiever, Developer, and Arranger are my top five strengths. I am leaning into responsibility the most these days. When I see a need, it is important for me to help and get things done.

What’s your favorite part of the PS Mission ("Family, School and Church united in the education and support of each Child") and why?
Support is my favorite part of the PS mission. Helping children to be the best version of themselves takes all the people in their lives supporting them. I think the support and love our community gives is outstanding.

What’s your go-to comfort food?
My go to comfort food is anything with chocolate - cookies, candy, cake, brownies, etc…. oh, and ice cream!

What was your favorite activity as a ten-year-old?
My favorite activity as a ten-year-old was playing in the basement (we lived in Michigan). I had an entire corner full of my toys. I would go down there and play, rearrange, and chill (literally it was always cooler in the basement) for hours.

In the movie about your life, what actor/actress (alive or dead) gets to play you?
The actress who would play me is Ellen DeGeneres (someone told me I look like her). However, she is not tall enough so maybe Geena Davis.

What’s your favorite musical group and song?
My favorite musical performer is my husband, Mike. He wrote a song for me obviously named “Ann’s Song” and sang it to me at our wedding. There was not a dry eye in the house. I also really like Van Morrison and his song “Crazy Love.” Mike often sings it to me.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
I like smooth peanut butter. I do not like crunch or stuff in my foods that are supposed to be smooth or creamy, like peanut butter, pudding, yogurt, or ice cream.
