Q & A with BRENTON
What are your top five CliftonStrengths, and which ONE do you find yourself leaning into the most these days?
My top five strengths are Input, Positivity, Developer, Empathy, and Woo. My joy is sharing Scripture with students and encouraging them to find their identity within God’s story. My strength as a developer is energized by building faith in my students and hearing of their growing trust in Jesus.
What’s your favorite part of the PS Mission ("Family, School and Church united in the education and support of each Child") and why?
The word “each” stands out to me because it reflects the unique culture of our school. Our community is a loving place where each student is valued as a child of God with great gifts to share.
What’s your happy place? Why?
I enjoy sitting outside with a cup of coffee and a good book (ideally with 70 degree weather :)).
What was your favorite activity as a ten-year-old?
I have always loved stories. At ten, I loved to read aloud to an imaginary classroom and to have a chance to use my favorite Expo markers.
Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Discuss.
Peanut butter is taken to the next level with a little extra crunch.
What’s your favorite musical group and song?
My dad’s side of the family is full of musicians so I grew up surrounded by music. While the instrument gene skipped me, I feel extra connected to God through worship. One of my current favorites is Jesus Does by We the Kingdom.
What’s your go-to comfort food?
Granola and greek yogurt.. It is 10/10!
