We are excited that our faculty and staff, along with community vendors, will lead our after-school enrichment classes. Online Registration for Spring 2025 Enrichment classes will open on February 10.
The enrichment classes listed below will be offered during the Spring trimester and will run from March 3 - May 16, 2025. Expand the links for more information on each class' specific dates, times, class size and fees. Class space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
You may cancel your registration for *most enrichment classes up until March 7, 2025 for a full refund in the form of a credit in Camp Brain. Any credits unused by the end of the school year will be rolled over to the following school year unless you request a refund check from the billing department. Cancellations for enrichment classes after March 7, 2025 are non-refundable.
Cancellations for Cook Learn Grow must be made before the first class on March 5 2025. The Cook Learn Grow class is non-refundable after the first class.

The following enrichment classes will take place at the Glassell School of Art. Our Extended Day staff will pick your child up from their classroom at dismissal, give them a few minutes to decompress and have a snack before walking them over to the Glassell Junior School for class. Parents must pick up their student at the Glassell Junior School when their class end at 5:00 p.m. If you are unable to pick your student up at 5:00 p.m., please register for "After Enrichment Class Care" in Camp Brain and one of our Extended Day staff members will bring your student back to Panther Place where you can pick them up as late as 6:00 p.m.

Does your child LOVE to cook? Do you have a picky eater? This introductory level food literacy program teaches simple cooking techniques, food origins, seasonal recipes, and kitchen safety while having hands-on fun! Students gain self- confidence and priceless life skills while reinforcing core academics. Each session brings a different themed syllabus. This class can accommodate nut allergies. Instructors are professionally trained classroom educators, chefs or nutritionists. Minimum of 10 required. *Cancelations after the first day of class are non-refundable.

Brigette O'Brian, owner of Relevé Productions and Presbyterian School’s Performing Arts teacher, offers Dance Classes throughout the school year after school. Mrs. O'Brian offers foundational beginner dance classes and advanced classes for PK3 through Sixth grade in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.

Description: Level 1 is a foundational beginner dance class for PK3 students. The class will introduce Ballet and Tap basics within the class hour. Description: Students will build stamina and strength through more difficult technique exercises. This year, they will learn to dance without always following their teacher, take turns properly, and exhibit courteous behavior in class. We will continue to build on their Ballet vocabulary and skills while working at the ballet barre. This year, stretching becomes part of our class routine while we build on students’ flexibility. Students will need a proper ballet wardrobe (leotard, tights, pink ballet slippers) to participate.
Level 4 Starter Tap and Jazz

Description: This is a classical ballet class. Students should have at least two years of ballet experience before taking this class. Students should have good natural movement and a foundation of pre ballet skills. In this class, students will use the barre for technical exercises and movements in place to hone their ballet technique. Students will practice correct alignment, positions, and turnout. They will practice muscular control and work on their flexibility and coordination. Students will need a proper ballet wardrobe (leotard, tights, and pink ballet slippers) to participate. Description: In this class, students will learn new skills, movements, and techniques. They will enjoy learning longer combinations of steps, jumps, and turns. Students will continue to work with music coordination, learning how to count music, and stay on beat. We will continue to work on flexibility to gain confidence in our leaps and kicks. We will also work on stage presence and learn about performance confidence in this class. *Please note, if you have not enrolled in Level 5 Ballet, there will be an additional fee for Panther Place care before this class.

Description:
At Brown's, we specialize in GREAT instruction from a highly trained staff with decades of experience. We prefer to think of ourselves as Teachers...not just Coaches. It is not enough to just show a child a trick. We help them to understand it and then guide them through the experiences of failure and success. Not every student is the same. Our goal is to make healthy, happy, and confident gymnasts, as well as students! We use time proven methods to get the best results possible while having TONS OF FUN!
The first trimester is used on building foundational tumbling and gymnastics skills. During the winter trimester, we build upon this with body control and balance, implementing balance beams and mini trampolines while continuing our floor tumbling.
The spring trimester will build on the students’ foundation from the fall semester as we introduce new, fun and exciting tricks! We will continue working on areas of floor tumbling, balance beams, trampolines and upside down tricks throughout the spring semester. We will hold our annual gold medal ceremony for the students and parents at the end of the trimester, before summer, to conclude the school year!

Introducing the ultimate afterschool class to build confidence and get kids moving! Mad About Hoops is celebrating 10+ years of making fitness fun and prioritizing play every day!
Our unique program combines performance art, play and creative movement with the fun of hula hoops! This multifaceted approach creates a high energy and engaging class while also promoting physical fitness and cognitive development. Classes consist of stretching, games, impressive tricks and challenging new hoop skills! You'll be blown away by the hula hoop skills your student has at the end of each trimester!
Registered students will also have the opportunity to perform during a halftime show for the MLS Houston Dynamo on April 5!

Description:
In our engaging classes, trained instructors utilize LEGO Duplo and K’NEX educational kits to help students develop essential math and science skills. With specially designed building kits featuring gears, levers, and pulleys, students will create functional simple machines that spark curiosity and foster hands-on learning.
As they build, students enhance their fine motor skills and boost their confidence, all while reinforcing key concepts from their classroom curriculum. Group Piano Class Description:
This class is a weekly group piano lesson for your child. Students will be placed in groups of 5-6 based on age and previously completed levels in various piano method books. Students will learn the basic skills necessary to play the piano in a warm and supportive environment. Students will be presented with new material by lecture and demonstration, then have the opportunity to ask questions and play out loud for feedback. We will focus on proper technique and music reading while having fun making music together! Students should expect to spend 15-20 minutes playing the piano each day (outside of the lesson time). Lessons will be learner directed depending on the needs of each individual in the group. Topics covered will include: Posture and hand position, note reading in treble and bass clef staff, different hand positions, note values, dynamics, slurs, staccato, time signatures, and expression markings.
Group Guitar Class:
Our group guitar lessons are ideal for beginners and intermediate guitarists who are looking to improve their skills in a group format. Learning how to play the guitar or enhance your game is undoubtedly more enjoyable if you can share your love for the instrument with like-minded guitar enthusiasts. Our group guitar courses typically do not count more than five participants as we wish our education to be highly beneficial for each. Under the guidance of highly experienced guitar instructors, your student will study various aspects of guitar playing that include discovering the nature of the instrument, improving both your technical and musical skills as well as learning how to play in a group format.

Student Stars of River Oaks after school program is designed to teach the elements of theater with the joy of a performance experience at the end of the semester. This course is for Beginner students. During the classes your child will learn to love the Spanish language and to communicate through dialogues, readings, listenings, writings, rhymes, games, songs, crafts, stories and more. Our program is based on the Texas Spanish program, and it will be a head start for the Spanish Subject later in Middle & High school. In this first formal Spanish language course, your child will enjoy learning vocabulary and practicing conversations with the teacher and between students. We will cover a wide range of vocabulary and we will teach the students how to study it with flashcards, songs, games and more. On Friday afternoons in the Spring, Vegvisir CrossFit & Personal Training will offer a strength and conditioning class for middle school students on Presbyterian School's campus. These classes will focus on teaching students how to safely move external loads while building a solid foundation of conditioning that will benefit any sport—or simply make everyday tasks and activities easier!
Each class will begin with a proper warm-up and skill-building exercises to help students learn how to move correctly using their own body weight, dumbbells, kettlebells, and sandbags. These exercises will start with light implements (1-10 lbs), with heavier loads introduced as students master proper form. After the skill-building portion, the class will move into a conditioning session, teaching students that conditioning isn’t just about running, and that effective workouts can be done anywhere.
This program is ideal for parents who want to ensure their kids are prepared to enter a weight room safely and confidently when the time comes.
