Panther Place

We know sometimes things come up, therefore, we have a drop-in option for your family if you need last-minute care. To be considered as a "planned" drop-in, please email our office at least 24-hours in advance at extendedday@pshouston.org. Anything after the 24-hour mark will be considered "unplanned". If you have any questions regarding the logistics of planned or unplanned drop-ins, please contact the Extended Day team. 

Planned Drop-in Rates (24-hours in advance)
$30 per day from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
$20 per day for Panther Place care until 4:30 p.m. or after Enrichment Class/MS Sports dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Unplanned Drop-in Rates 
$35 per day until 4:30 p.m.  
$35 per day from enrichment class/MS sport dismissal to 6:00 p.m.
$50 per day until 6:00 p.m.

LS/MS Panther Place headquarters will be in the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster Center basement, which is in the middle school building. The stairs to the basement are directly across from LC 181. EC Panther Place will be held on the first floor of Founders Hall until 5:00 p.m., and then they will join the rest of the pack in the Lancaster building of FPC. If you are unfamiliar with the campus, please feel free to contact the School and we will give you more detailed instructions.

Grade level teachers will pick up students from their classrooms and take them to the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster Center basement (LC080) for Panther Place.

If you are picking up your Early Childhood Panther Place student before 5:00pm, please park in the North parking lot and go to the front doors of Founders Hall and ring the doorbell. Our Panther Place staff will let you and bring your child to you. If it is after 5:00 pm, and you do not see your student on the Lower School Playground, please go through the Palm Court doors to pick up your student in the mini gym. 

If you are picking up your Lower School Panther Place student before 5:00pm, please park in the North Parking Lot and walk through the Palm Court doors and head to LC080, fondly referred to as "the basement". 

You can also utilize our drive-up carpool at either 4:30pm OR 6:00pm.  Panther Place 4:30pm carpool pick-up will take place in front of Founders Hall. If you are registered for Panther Place only until 4:30pm, we will bring your child to the carpool line automatically. If you've registered your child to stay with us until 6:00pm, but you'd like for them to be brought up to the 4:30pm carpool line, please email extendedday@pshouston.org to let us know. 

Yes. You may pick up your child from Panther Place any time. However, carpool for Panther Place will only take place at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need to pick-up your child at any time other than 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., please make arrangements to park in the main North Parking Lot and walk into the building for pick-up.

Carpool will take place promptly at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in front of Founders Hall. Our 4:30 p.m. carpool will run until 4:40 p.m. and our 6:00 p.m. carpool will run until 6:10 p.m.  If a student is registered to stay in Panther Place until 4:30 p.m. but is not picked up by 4:40 p.m., they will be taken back to Panther Place and parents will be charged a late fee. If a student is registered to stay in Panther Place until 6:00 p.m. but is not picked up by 6:10 p.m., parents will be charged a late fee. Please display your School Pass number on the front passenger side of your car so we can match the right student(s) to your car.

Please email extendedday@pshouston.org  and CC your student's teacher if your child will not be going to their regularly scheduled Panther Place or Enrichment Class. We appreciate this heads up so we can keep track of all student’s whereabouts for their safety. 

Panther Place care will start on the first week of school. You may cancel your Panther Place registration during the first week of each trimester for a full refund as a credit in CampBrain to be used throughout the school year. After the end of the first week of each trimester, cancellations for that trimester of Panther Place will be non-refundable. 

Adjustments to Panther Place scheduling will be made on a case-by-case basis. If you need to adjust your Panther Place Schedule during the school year, please contact the Extended Day team at extendedday@pshouston.org.
