**Panther Place is also offered to families who need after school care following the completion of enrichment classes.**

The Extended Day program is aware that sometimes things come up, so there is a planned drop-in option for your family if you are in need of last minute care. To be considered as a "planned" drop in, please register through CampBrain 24 hours in advance. Anything after the 24 hour mark will be considered "unplanned". If you have any questions regarding the logistics of planned or unplanned drop-ins, please contact the Extended Day team.

Panther Place headquarters will be in the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster Center basement, which is in the middle school building. The stairs to the basement are directly across from LC 181. If you are unfamiliar with the campus, please feel free to contact the School and we will give you more detailed instructions

Extended Day staff will pick up students from their classrooms and take them to the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster Center basement for Panther Place.

The following two options are available for pick-up. 

1. You can park and walk into the First Presbyterian Church Lancaster Center basement and pick up your child.

2. You can utilize drive-up carpool at either 4:30 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. Panther Place Carpool pick-up will take place in front of Founders Hall where we will bring your child to you.

Yes. You may pick up your child from Panther Place any time. However, carpool for Panther Place will only take place at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need to pick-up your child at any time other than 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m., please make arrangements to park and walk into the building for pick-up.

Carpool will take place promptly at 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in front of Founders Hall. Our 4:30 p.m. carpool will run until 4:40 p.m. and our 6:00 p.m. carpool will run until 6:10 p.m.  If a student is registered to stay in Panther Place until 4:30 p.m. but is not picked up by 4:40 p.m., he/she will be taken back to Panther Place and parents will be charged a late fee. If a student is registered to stay in Panther Place until 6:00 p.m. but is not picked up by 6:10 p.m., parents will be charged a late fee. Please display your School Pass number on the front passenger side of your car so we can match the right student(s) to your car.

Please email extendedday@pshouston.org to let the staff know in advance that your child will not be in Panther Place. We appreciate this heads up so we can keep track of all student’s whereabouts for their safety.

This course is for beginner students. During the classes your child will learn to love the Spanish language and to communicate through dialogues, readings, listening, writings, rhymes, games, songs, crafts, stories and more. Our program is based on the Texas Spanish program, and it will be a head start for the Spanish Subject later in Middle & High school.  In this first formal Spanish language course, your child will enjoy learning vocabulary and practicing conversations with the teacher and between students. We will cover a wide range of vocabulary and we will teach the students how to study it with flashcards, songs, games and more. In this first approach, we will roll-play and learn about greetings, courtesy words, personal information, school things, colors, numbers, notions like up-down, inside-outside, etc., days of the week, weather, family, face and body, food, likes and dislikes and more. We will gradually take your child to a conversational stage practicing the perfect pronunciation from day one. This Spanish club is so much fun your child will really enjoy this first step in learning the language.

Students BUILD simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then MOTORIZE them using LEGO and K'NEX educational kits and curriculum while BUILDING math and science skills. Using the newest LEGO educational kit, students challenge one another to create, build, and test the best design. Students will learn why a machine works and how to manipulate a machine to go faster and slower. Fine motor skills, critical thinking skills; imagination and confidence will increase in this fun-filled class atmosphere. We teach division using gear ratios.

To be competitive in Pokemon, players must be able to out think and maneuver their opponents. Students Stars of River Oaks after school program is designed to teach the elements of theater with the joy of a performance experience at the end of the semester. The students will learn about the voice, expression, physicality, music, dance, acting, explore props, and the world of puppetry in this class. The students will also work on a show that they will perform for their parents on the last day of the class. We play educational theater games to encourage creativity and ensemble work. Our goal is for our students to gain confidence while having the fun experience of storytelling!
