Welcome to presbyterian School

I am delighted that you are considering applying to Presbyterian School.  I was in your shoes sixteen years ago when I applied for my oldest daughter.  I was curious, excited, and to be honest, a little scared. Sharing your child with others is risky and requires a great deal of trust.  I have found that trusting someone else with my children feels much more dangerous than just doing things myself.  Looking back on that time when my children were young, I can honestly say that choosing to send our girls to Presbyterian School was one the best decisions my husband and I have ever made. Goodness knows we have made quite a few mistakes, but Presbyterian School was not one of them.  In fact, being Presbyterian School parents oftentimes saved us from ourselves.  Almost twenty years later I realize that not only did my girls get an outstanding education here, but so did we.  They were never alone and neither were we.

When I started this school search journey I cared about things like “academic achievement,” “challenging curriculum,” and “opportunities for high school.”  After all, these things are important. However, as I watched my youngest daughter graduate from Presbyterian School in May, I realized that none of those things are what matter most to me now.

I value the spirit of ingenuity and the depth of character my daughters attained at Presbyterian School.

I value Presbyterian School’s idea that no matter how small you are, you can make a big difference through service.

I love that my children have learned to love other people and believe that kindness always come first.

Yes, I love that they know how to study, that they can write and evaluate literature and were well prepared for the rigorous academics that high school brings.  However, most of all, I love the people they have become.  I love that the Presbyterian School core values are so imbedded in their hearts and souls that no one or thing can break them.

Trusting that a school will nurture your child like this is hard. The administration, faculty and staff at Presbyterian School understand this and truly have confidence in each and every child.

I invite you to get to know more about Presbyterian School through our website and in person. Please join us for our Open Houses or come for a tour during the school day.  You will feel the spirit of Presbyterian School when you are on campus. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my experience with you.
