Football - Boys Varsity vs. The Village School
Home Game VS. The Village School

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Home

Date: September 14, 2017

Result:Win
Score:24-7

Event Recap:

This was a great team game for the PS Panthers. Mark D'Andrea led the way with over 100 yards rushing and passing with three rushing TDs. The offensive line, consisting of Hutch Coward, Lawson Huff, William Husted, Charlie Funderburk and George Still, persevered through tough blitzes from the Vikings to dominate the second half of play and pull away. Matthew Kallmeyer and Jadir Da Silva contributed as well, leading the way for the last TD run by Brayden Crow. Also contributing on the offensive side were: Andrew Parks, Styles Credeur, Matt Lewis, Matthew Godinich, Christopher Means, and Elliot Crantz.

Defense was stout, only allowing one score by the Vikings. Ben Norvell and Caden Rice anchored the front 7, while Nicholas Oldham, Cooper Murray, Leo Filardo, and Bonner Johanson (INT) prevented any long pass plays with their play in the secondary. Also contributing on the defensive side was Jakob Fjeld-Hansen.

Special teams even played a clutch role in the game, securing a beautifully placed on-side kick by William Barboza in the second half to keep the offense rolling.

Great team effort, Gentlemen.

GO PANTHERS!
