Football - Boys Varsity vs. St. Michael's School
Away Game @ St. Michael Catholic School

Event Type: Regular

Date: October 11, 2017

Event Recap:
Once again all three phases: OffenseDefense and Special Teams combine for another great team win for the Panthers!
Per usual, Mark D'Andrea scores the first two TD's on two long runs to start the game. Literally, the first two offensive plays...On the the Panther's third possession, Andrew Parks took a short D'Andrea Pass 60 yards for their third TD score of the game. Cooper Murray received a deep D'Andrea pass right before halftime to put the score at 29-0.  Brayden Crow tacked on the Panthers final score in the 4th quarter on a short TD run. William Barboza was 2/3 on extra points kicks, while George Still and Jakob Fjeld-Hansen added extra point conversions of their own. Charlie Funderburk was solid all game long with his snaps at center.
Special teams kick coverage was key the entire game with St. Michael sporting a very elusive and speedy returner. Great job by Leo Filardo, Christopher Means, Matt Lewis, Matthew Godinich, Styles Credeur, Matthew Kallmeyer and Elliott Crantz.
The defense was absolutely dominant, holding St. Michael scoreless until the final minute of the game. Hutch Coward and Caden Rice were stout on the ends and with Ben Norvell and Lawson Huff's strong play in the middle, they combined to set the tone early and uphold the team's mantra: Do Your Job! William Husted recovered a fumble in the second half and Nicholas Oldham had his second straight game with an interception.
Missing in action for the game, but with us in spirit were: Bonner Johanson and Jadir Da Silva.

Great job, Gentlemen. The Panthers finish their regular season next Thursday against Main Street Rival Annunciation Orthodox School for a chance to play in the HJPC Championship game the following week. Let's GOOOOOOO!!!
