Cross Country - Coed
Practices & Meets: It would be wise to run during the summer as a method of acclimation to the heat. Hydration is necessary during periods of heat. Practice will begin August 23rd and will be held Monday-Thursday from 2:45-4:30 p.m. at the OEC. The team will be transported on a school bus to and from the OEC and will return to Palm Court for pick-up each day at 4:45 p.m. There are no practices on Fridays. Occasionally, the team will elect to practice at Hermann Park. The cross-country schedule can be viewed on the athletic team page online.
Parent Meeting: August 23rd, 4:45 p.m. in LC181
Required Gear: All participants need a good pair of running shoes and comfortable clothes. No specific practice uniforms are required; any Presbyterain School shirt will do. Dry fit clothes are a good choice as it will be very hot at the beginning of the season. We suggest a personal water bottle as well as a digital watch if possible to keep track of individual times.
Physicals and Required Forms: The Athletic Physical Examination Form an the Athletic Team Pledge are required for participation in sports at Presbyterian School. Students are not allowed to begin practice until these forms are completed. These forms are part of the 2017-18 Required School Forms and distributed and collected by Magnus via the School website's Parent Portal. Athletic Team Parent: Each team needs a team parent to arrange team snacks, etc. If you are interested in assisting, please contact the coach to volunteer.
