Cross Country - Coed

Co-ed Cross Country (6th-8th Grade)

Coaches: Eric Martin, Kelsey Pedersen, and Nick Mayeux

Practices and Meets:  It would be wise to run during the summer as a method of acclimation to the Texas heat.  Hydration is necessary during periods of heat.  Practice will begin August 22 and will be held Monday-Thursday from 2:50-4:30 p.m. at the OEC.  The team will be transported on a school bus to and from the OEC and will return to Palm Court for pick-up each practice day at 4:45 p.m.  Occasionally the team will elect to run at Hermann Park.  The cross-country schedule, which can be viewed online, will include the practice times and locations as well as meets.  All runners are encouraged to attend summer workouts for speed and conditioning.

Required Parent Meeting:  August 22 at 4:45 p.m. in LC181

Recommended Gear: No practices uniforms are required, but all participants need a good pair of running shoes and comfortable clothes for practices.  We recommend dry fit clothes.  Many of our runners simply wear the school physical education uniform.  We also suggest a water bottle and digital watch.
