William Grubb (Class of 2005)
Where did you go after Presbyterian School?
After Presbyterian School I went to St. Thomas High School. From there, I attended and graduated from the Univesity of Nebraska, Lincoln.
What are you up to now?
I have been working in sports radio since my sophomore year in college. I spent my last two years of college splitting time between school and a job in commercial radio. After graduating college I began looking for a bigger market to move into and got lucky that there was an opening in Houston. Currently, I am a sports update anchor/reporter at Sports Radio 610 (CBS Radio) in Houston. I cover the Texans, Rockets, and Astros.
How did Presbyterian School influence you?
I developed a strong interest in sports while at Presbyterian School. I spent countless afternoons playing Presby sports (although I wasn't very good at any of them.) I also did a lot of growing up there. I was a bit of a trouble maker but I like to think I worked it out of my system at Presbyterian School.
What core value(s) did Presbyterian School instill in you? (Respect, Perseverance, Courage, Compassion, Integrity, Gratitude)
Perseverance. School is a marathon.
What is your favorite Presbyterian School memory?
Getting into a little too much trouble. I'll spare you the details but I'm sure my former teachers can attest. My advice though for middle school students is to have fun but keep working. It will pay off!
